Shipping chocolate via FedEx ground from October through March is usually safe from melting. However, if you are in a climate that is above 75 degrees or a truck delivering from Colorado to you would drive through an area with temps above 75 degrees, you may want to consider 2-day FedEx because Telluride Truffles melt above 75 degrees. They don't have preservatives, stabilizers and wax (yep wax) to keep them from melting. If you are really concerned about melting because of warm temperature you can request that an icepack be put in with your box. You can do that in the “Special instructions” box that you will see when you are filling out your order in the shopping cart. It's on the second page.

Shipping for one box of 7 is around $7.00 (a little more for the 14er). For each additional box it's only 75 cents more – so think of gifts for the future cause it's a better value to get them all at once. The truffles can be safely frozen by wrapping the box in Saran Wrap and placing in the freezer. When you take them out keep the plastic on the box until it fully comes to room temperature. They last in the freezer for 2 months.

We try to ship as quickly as possible – often the next day after we receive your order. If you must have it by a certain day - let us know via the "Special Instructions" box that you will see as you fill out your order. It's on the second page. Or call us toll free at 1-866-543-0108 and let us know that the order that you just placed will need a certain shipping time. We do not ship on Fridays. It simply avoids the truffles being in a warehouse all weekend long.

If the box is going to your business address, please make sure to put the name of the business in the address when you are filling out the “Ship To” field in the shopping cart. Otherwise we assume it is going to a residence. Ground shipping delivers to residences on Saturdays, but if your business is not open on Saturday it puts off your delivery to Monday. Also, ground often does not deliver to some home addresseses on Monday. Keep that in mind if you need the box quickly. Depending upon when you put in your order – that may make a difference.
